In addition, the show promises to become trustworthy source for international buyers of tourism products, featuring the “Three countries one destination of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam” or the 3-CODE campaign.

One of the event organizers, the IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd, revealed that the 2010 ITE is the biggest tourism fair so far with its upgraded quality and increasing numbers of the participants. About 236 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions plan to attend the event, up 27% from 2009, 37% higher than last year.

Last year’s fair attracted 14,242 visitors (4,939 trade and 9,303 pubic visitors) and event organizers expect at least 16,000 local visitors this time.

In addition to the exhibition itself, there will be three other events designed to benefit all those involved in the tourism industry. These concurrent events include ASEAN Tourism Investment Forum, the 2010 Tourism Alliance Awards, and ITE HCMC 2010 Golf Tournament.

ITE HCMC 2010 will be open only to trade visitors and buyers for the first day and a half. The exhibition opens to the public on the afternoon of Oct 1.

The ITE HCMC 2010 is an annual activity of the local tourism industry, organized by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD) and IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd.

The event also received much support from Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, HCMC People’s Committee, Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, and Laos’ National Tourism Administration.
