Ho Chi Minh City is expected to receive about 400,000 international visitors in October, up by 50% compared to the same period last year and 130,000 foreign tourists compared to the last month’s figure, according to the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Most of the 320,000 visitors to HCMC in this month, travelled by air.
In the first 10 months of this year, HCMC welcomed 2.6 million foreign visitors, up by 25% compared to last year’s figure.
The city hopes to receive the 3,000,000th international tourist at the end of this year by organising a lot of interesting activities for visitors.
The city’s tourism sector is focusing on developing river tourism, organising art performance programs and completing the program “Ho Chi Minh City and its 100 interesting things”.
