On November 25th, the 17th Meeting of the Vietnam Association of Dermatology, for the term of 2010- 2015, was held in Da Nang City.
The association aims to help 21 provinces eradicate leprosy by 2015.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Pham Van Hien, Chairman of the Association during 2005- 2010, mentioned the activities by the association in eradicating of leprosy from Vietnam, especially a plan to assist 21 provinces in their fight against leprosy in the near future.
In addition, the association has also taken part in programs to prevent HIV/AIDS, and common dermatological diseases, as well as enhancing professionalism for doctors to meet international standards.
At the meeting, Dr. Tran Hau Khang, Director of the Central Dermatological Hospital, was elected new Chairman of the Association for he Term 2010- 2015.
