Actor, Liu Xiao Ling Tong, famous for such roles as ‘Sun Wukong’ in the film “Xi You Ji”, screened in 1986, will take part in several cultural activities during his visit in Vietnam at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The well-known actor will arrive in Hanoi on December 24th, then head to Ho Chi Minh City on December 27th.
This is Liu Xiao Ling Tong’s second trip to Vietnam; the first visit was in 1998.
“I am very excited to meet Vietnamese spectators again and I believe that you still maintain special love for ‘Sun Wukong’”, the Chinese actor said.
Vietnam is the first leg in his tour of Southeast Asian countries where Liu Xiao Ling Tong wishes to visit.
As planned, during his week-long stay in Vietnam, Liu Xiao Ling Tong will visit the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Voice of Vietnam and an orphanage or a nursing home in Hanoi. Besides, he will have exchanges with students from the University of Social Science and Humanity and other primary and secondary schools as well as offer his signature at Fahasa Book Stores.
Several staff from Beijing International Radio Station will accompany Liu Xiao Ling Tong.
Previously, Liu Xiao Ling Tong invited translator Nguyen Le Chi representing Chibooks Company to participate in the first Xi Yu Ji International Cultural Seminar held on October 16th to 18th in Jiangsu, China. Chibooks is the first foreign publishing house translating his first-volume book into Vietnamese.
