The budget carrier Jetstar Pacific is selling cheap tickets for some domestic routes on Lunar New Year holidays from January 7th to 9th.

Meanwhile cheap tickets, for flights from April 5th to 25th and from May 5th to 15th, are available on the air carrier’s website

The Hanoi – Danang or Ho Chi Minh City – Danang/Hue flights cost from VND 300,000 and flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City cost from VND 600,000.

For online service, passengers need to use credit cards, such as Visa, Master Card, Amex, and JCB, and domestic debit cards, such as Connect 24 (Vietcombank), E- Partner (Vietinbank), and VIB.

Jetstar launches cheap tickets for domestic flights

The budget carrier Jetstar Pacific offers cheap tickets at price of VND230,000 (US$11) each for domestic flights from December 3-7.

The cheap tickets are applied for flights from Hanoi, Vinh, Hue, Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, which depart from January 14 to February 1.

The cheap tickets also applied for flights between Hanoi and Da Nang return way, which depart from January 5 -25; from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong, which depart from January 5-13 and from Hai Phong to Ho Chi Minh City, depart from January 5 to February 1.

Price ticket applied for flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and from Hai Phong to Ho Chi Minh City is VND575,000 ($29).

The ticket prices do not include tax and other additional fee.

Cheap tickets will be available on the Jetstar Pacific’s website and can be paid for online by credit cards, such as Visa, Master Card and by domestic debit cards, such as Connect 24 (Vietcombank), E-Partner (Viettinbank) and VIB.

The air carrier often launches promotional programs for passengers at special events every year.

Jetstar says will service more flights for Lunar New Year

Vietnam’s low cost airline Jetstar Pacific has said it would increase domestic flights to meet soaring travel demand during the Lunar New Year, which falls on February 3.

Jetstar Pacific said it would add one daily service to the HCM City – Hanoi schedule, four flights for HCM City – Da Nang and two flights for Da Nang – Hanoi.

The routes from HCM City to Hue, Vinh and Hai Phong will also be increased to two flights per day.

Jetstar is running a cheap ticket program with ticket price from VND300,000 (US$15) per ticket, which runs until November 1.

The program aims to stimulate travel demand during Tet holiday, said a representative of Jetstar.

The cheap tickets are applied for flights from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh, Da Nang and Hue to Ho Chi Minh City, which depart from January 26 – February 3, 2011.

The cheap tickets are also applied for flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang and Hanoi, which depart from February 14 – 19, 2011.

Jetstar Pacific receives new Airbus A320

The low-cost carrier, Jetstar Pacific, received an additional Airbus A320 at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport on October 17th.

It is the latest aircraft in Vietnam registered with the flight nationality of VNA198 and will be put into operation as from today, October 20th.

Jetstar Pacific currently has five Boeing 737-400 and two Airbus A320 aircrafts with over 40 flights per day between six big cities in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, Vinh and Hai Phong.

According to Jetstar Pacific’s General Director, Le Song Lai, the event marked the start of the carrier’s plan to replace its existing combination of Boeing-Airbus aircrafts with a fleet of overall new Airbus A320.

As planned, Jetstar Pacific will develop its fleet to 15 Airbus A320 aircraft by 2014.

PANO – To mark Children’s International Day on June 1st, Jetstar Pacific Airlines offered gifts to passengers who are children, aged 12 and below, on every flight for the day.

That day, Jetstar Pacific ran 40 flights on domestic routes, including two resumed flights between Hanoi and Nha Trang. The airline also announced that there are two, instead of one, flights between Hanoi and Da Nang each day.

Jetstar Pacific offers discounted fares on 129 routes

The cheap flight airline Jetstar Pacific announced all of its global branches are applying the same promotion programme for 129 domestic and international routes starting from March 10-15.

The discounted fares for domestic flights will be VND315,000 on the Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang and Hanoi-Da Nang routes while Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City flight willcost VND600,000 per ticket. Prices will be applied to flights from May 6-25 and September 7- October 27.

Tickets for flights on the Ho Chi Minh City-Hue and Ho Chi Minh City-Vinh/Hai Phong routes from September 7-October 27 will be sold at VND350,000 and VND650,000, respectively.

International air fares in the programme are also discounted. It will cost US$25 from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City and US$69 from Darwin, Australia to Ho Chi Minh.

The global Jestar network now processes Jetstar Airways (Australia), Jetstar Pacific Airlines (Vietnam), Jetstar Asia Airways and Value Air with 50 offices across the globe.

Jetstar Pacific increases chartered capital

The Vietnam-based budget carrier Jetstar Pacific’s executive board has approved a decision to increase its chartered capital to more than 1.3 trillion VND from 727 billion VND.

The increase will be implemented by issuing more shares to existing shareholders.

The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) now holds the lion’s share, 69.93 percent of Jetstar Pacific, while the Australian airline Qantas has 27 percent as a strategic shareholder.

According to Jetstar Pacific, the budget airline has also adopted a plan to upgrade its fleets of aircraft in order to meet passengers’ demand and prepare for its plan to expand its international network of air routes to regional countries.

Under the plan, the airline will wrap up the upgrade of its fleet and perform final technical checks in Singapore by the end of next month.

With a fleet of six A320 and Boeing 737-400 aircraft, Jestar Pacific conducts about 280 domestic flights a week.

Qantas to lift stake in Jetstar Pacific to 30 percent

Australia’s Qantas Airways Ltd. plans to increase its stake in budget airline Jetstar Pacific from 27 to 30 percent next year, a local newswire VietNamNet reported this week.

The group, which held 18 percent of the airline a year ago, raised its holding in Jetstar Pacific to 27 percent in August this year, according to Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon Online (Saigon Economic Times Online).

Qantas became a strategic partner of the government’s State Capital Investment Corporation in April 2007 after a US$50 million deal for a 30 percent stake in Vietnam’s second largest airline.

The airline enjoys an average seat occupancy of 85 percent. It carried one million passengers in the first half of this year, up 30 percent from the same period in 2008.

Jetstar Pacific operates 42 domestic flights per day on seven major routes, including HCMC-Hanoi, and from these two cities to Danang, Vinh, Hue, Haiphong and Nha Trang and vice versa.
