U13 Vietnam to face U14 ASEAN

The U13 PFV from Ho Chi Minh City, the defending title of the National Youth Football League 2010, will present Vietnam to play with U14 Indonesia in Jakarta on January 12.


The team, coached by former famous player Tran Minh Chien is training at the Thanh Long Sports Complex Centre.


The U14 Indonesia defeated U14 Thailand 3-1 in the final match of the Yamaha ASEAN Cup to win the U14 ASEAN Championship.

Vietnam to host U13 Asia Women’s Football festival


QĐND – Friday, June 18, 2010, 20:47 (GMT+7)

The U13 Asia Women’s Football festival will take place at the Thanh Long Sports Centre in Ho Chi Minh City from June 19 to July 3.


This is an annual event organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to promote women’s football in the region and train female coaches and referees.


This is the third time Vietnam has hosted the festival. This will help Vietnam raise its women’s football to the regional standard.
